APPC is governed by its Management Committee (MC), whose members are voted for annually by members. The Young Consultants’ Committee (YCC) – made up of industry members under the age of thirty – is responsible for supporting young consultants and encouraging future recruits into the industry. The APPC in Scotland provides a forum for members and represents their interests in the Scottish Parliament and the Scottish Government.

Management Committee

APPC is run by its Management Committee. Up to eight members are elected annually and, to ensure continuity, past Chairs may remain as members of the Management Committee. The AGM also elects a Chairman who may serve for a maximum of two years. The Management Committee’s roles include admitting new members, setting membership subscriptions, overseeing the self-regulatory regime and, if necessary, taking disciplinary action (more on our independent Complaints and Disciplinary Rules and procedures here). The APPC is a company limited by guarantee and up to four members of the Management Committee are the company’s directors. The APPC is run in accordance with our Articles of Association and complies with all relevant legislation including Competition Policy. Current members of the Management Committee are:
