Number of APPC members grows again, to 38
The Association of Professional Political Consultants is delighted to welcome two new members – Advocate and Portland have both been accepted into APPC membership. The APPC now boasts 38 members – an increase of seven members this year, which is an unprecedented growth in numbers in any one year and brings membership to its highest level since records began in 1995.
Commenting on the APPC’s record membership, APPC Chair, Gill Morris, said:
“This is a significant landmark for the APPC and is testament to our conviction that more and more consultancies recognise the value of our Code of Conduct and want to get on board. It is increasingly important for the industry to demonstrate transparency and an ethical approach; the more members we get signed up, the stronger the industry will be in terms of raising its standards, reputation and public profile.
“The APPC will continue to recruit new members and I hope that all those firms that are not currently members will consider the benefits of the APPC and self-regulation and take the plunge in 2007.”
Advocate Policy & Public Affairs Consulting Ltd is a new independent public affairs agency dedicated exclusively to healthcare, helping a broad range of clients demystify the highly-regulated healthcare policy environment.
Jamie Holyer, Managing Director, said:
“I am delighted that Advocate is now a member of the APPC. The Association plays a vital function in representing the industry and maintaining the highest possible standards of public affairs consultancy and has my full support.”
