Five more companies joins APPC
APPC MEMBERSHIP GROWS AGAIN
The Association of Professional Political Consultants is delighted to welcome five new members - Blue Rubicon, Illiam Costain McCade, Green Issues, Hanover Communications and Political Developments Ltd. The APPC now boasts 61 members, which brings membership to its highest level since records began in 1995.
Founded in 1999, Blue Rubicon is an integrated communications consultancy with a broad range of clients. Blue Rubicon is currently PR Week’s Agency of the Year and Marketing magazine’s PR Agency of the Year. Blue Rubicon has recently bolstered its public affairs expertise with a number of new hires.
Commenting on Blue Rubicon’s decision to apply for APPC membership, Director Chris Norton said:
“Smart clients are increasingly asking us to join up their public relations and public affairs communications so that they are most effective and powerful. With a bigger public affairs team at Blue Rubicon, it’s right that we join the APPC and cement our existing high professional standards.”
Formerly Director of Grayling Scotland, Illiam Costain McCade is an independent consultant based in Edinburgh, working with his own clients and also as part of a team of consultants at Cogitamus. Since joining APPC in his own right, Illiam has been elected as secretary of APPC in Scotland.

I consider membership of APPC to be a priority for any sole trader or organisation engaged in public affairs with transparency and accountability becoming increasingly important in both business and in politics. Green Issues Communications was established in 1998 and is a leading provider of consultation and public affairs services, specialising in planning-related issues. Clients are drawn from a range of sectors, including energy, health, house building, leisure, retail and transport.
