Membership at new high

The Association of Professional Political Consultants is delighted to welcome three new members into the fold. Chambré Public Affairs, Four Communications and Lansons Public Affairs have all been accepted into APPC membership. This means that APPC now boasts 34 members – the highest number since records began in 1995.

APPC member firms employ 545 political consultants and, according to latest figures, advise more than 1200 clients.

Commenting on the APPC’s record membership, APPC Chair, Gill Morris, said “This is a significant benchmark for the APPC and is testament to our conviction that more and more consultancies recognise the value of our Code of Conduct and want to get on board. It is increasingly important for the industry to demonstrate transparency and an ethical approach; the more members we get signed up, the stronger the industry will be in terms of raising its standards, reputation and public profile.”

“Chambré, Four and Lansons bring new blood into the APPC and they are all very much welcomed. The APPC will continue to recruit new members and I hope that all those firms that are not currently members will seriously consider the benefits of the APPC and self-regulation.”

Chambré Public Affairs is a small firm based in Belfast, offering policy research, monitoring, lobbying and campaign management.

Four Communications is based in London and has wide experience with large blue chip companies and trade bodies across a range of sectors including public bodies and voluntary organisations.

Lansons is a well-established PR firm which is now also offering public affairs consultancy, principally in the financial services sector.
