One of the APPC membership obligations is to complete an annual return of compliance with the APPC Code of Conduct as at 31 May each year. This takes the form of:
In 2011, APPC received compliance checklists and Codes due from all 64 member firms.

The member confirms:

That the APPC Code forms part of the member’s contracts of employment
|

2.
|
That the APPC Code forms part of the member’s contracts with all freelance consultants
|
|
3.
|
That the APPC Code is included in the member’s staff handbook or equivalent
|
|
4.
|
That all advice, proposals and presentations to clients and to the institutions of government are authorised at an appropriate level proportionate to their nature
|
|
5.
|
That all clients have been notified that the member is bound by the Code, a copy of which can be sent on request
|
|
6.
|
That APPC Register entries have been accurately completed and filed at the end of each quarter
|
|
7.
|
That no consultant holds a Parliamentary pass
|
Re question 7, all the firms answering 'no' confirmed that those consultants who hold a Parliamentary pass do so in a personal capacity as allowed by the House of Commons, namely because the consultant is a former MP or because he/she is the spouse of a sitting MP. Consultants are not permitted to use the pass whilst on the member firm's business; this is in accordance with the APPC Code of Conduct. All such consultants are now indicated on the APPC's quarterly register.
